Homework for Shapes and Colors

Hello Class!
As a review for the things we have learned this week, I am placing some pictures up for you to observe.  With your parents, list at least five of shapes that you see in the photographs and where they are.  You are also to include the color of the shape.  Have fun!

Here is a fun video for you to review more shapes.

Shapes and Colors

Triangles A TRIANGLE is a shape that has three sides and three points.  This triangle is YELLOW.
A SQUARE is is a shape that has four equal sides and four points.  This Square is BLUE. Triangles

Triangles A RECTANGLE has four sides like a square, but two of it's sides are longer than the other two.  Each side is equal to the side across from it.  This rectangle is GREEN.

Circles A CIRCLE is completely round.  It does not have any points.  If you were to draw a line across the center in many places, all of the lines would be the same length.  This circle is WHITE, like a piece of paper.

An OVAL is like a circle.  It is round and has no points.  The difference between an oval and a circle is that an oval is longer one way than it is the other.  If you were to draw a line through the center in many places, some lines would be longer than others.  This oval is BLACK.                 Ovals
